EJC2016 entitled “Origin of Nuclei in the Universe" will cover the many facets of nuclear astrophysics by gathering theoretical and experimental nuclear physicists, as well as astrophysicists.
Both astrophysical observations and their modeling will be addressed through the multi-messenger Universe. The latest views on nucleosynthesis from laboratory nuclear reactions to cosmochemistry will be presented.
Another important topic will be the phase diagram and the equation of state of dense matter, which are the pillars of our current understanding of neutron stars and core-collapse supernovae.
The school will take place from 25th September (Sunday) to 30th September 2016 (Friday) at Port-Barcarès, near Perpignan (south of France).
Port Barcarès is located in the Languedoc-Roussillon region. Gateaway to Catalonia opened on the hinterland and the fourth port of the region, discover a step from the Mediterranean, the pine forests, hidden spaces between marine lake and sea.
Looking forward to your participation to this school.
